I don’t know if it’s because I’ve spent the last year really diving into concepts of feminine energy and nurturing my nervous system, because I am immersed in little girl things after years of being a boy mom, or even just because my bedroom doesn’t look like what you’d think a designer’s bedroom should look like, but I’ve spent a lot of time these last few months thinking about what I want my bedroom to be. And though I’m still not sure, I have found that I really love the subtle femininity of these spaces. They’re calming, welcoming and sensual, and given how much time we’ve all been spending at home lately, doesn’t it sound pretty damn nice to have that feeling every time you walk into your bedroom? There is something so soothing and beautiful about a bedroom with soft palettes of grey with rose or lavender. Aside from the gorgeous color combination, the visual of these colors together really invoke a sense of security, calm and welcome. Maybe it’s time to invest in a bedroom upgrade!
